Description
I started working at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) at the Institute of Corrosion and Protection in 2013. I learn about other analytical techniques (electrochemical techniques, and elemental analysis with ICP MS), validation methodology, and about corrosion tests. I participated in research projects using vegetable oil to produce organic coating, searching for a green way to produce alkyd resins. In addition, I participated in materials corrosion evaluation projects. I specialized in the use of the design of experiments (DOE) and became an instructor at DOE. Finally, I have participated in the external evaluation of patents to the Intellectual Property Bureau at PUCP.

Description
My chemical background has let me work on different research projects since 12 years ago. I started working with the synthesis and characterization of activated carbon to remove contaminants from water in 2010. I was introduced to different characterization techniques such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscope (SEM), elemental analysis (Flame Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy), and so on. I produced activated carbon from aguaje residues. I started to learn more about intellectual property as well. Finally, a patent was granted for making activated carbon from aguaje residues, and different publications in indexed journals were achieved.
